Jennifer L. Tampoya

Jennifer L. Tampoya joined Shuman, McCuskey & Slicer, PLLC, in 2009 and is a Member in the firm’s Morgantown office. Her practice focuses on litigation, defending physicians, health care entities, lawyers, and accountants in professional malpractice cases and defending business entities in a broad range of disputes. Ms. Tampoya also advises business clients on organizational, contract, and other issues, and she handles a variety of insurance coverage disputes. In addition to litigating in West Virginia Circuit Courts, the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia, and United States District Court, Ms. Tampoya has litigated in the West Virginia Business Court Division and defended an accounting firm in the Business Court’s first jury trial.

Ms. Tampoya is originally from Southern California and attended UCLA. After college, she remained in the Los Angeles area and was instrumental in the development and management of a healthcare services and instruction business. In 1998, she relocated to Morgantown, West Virginia, and was then responsible for the administration of closely-held business corporations providing health care services and fitness services. Ms. Tampoya is an avid runner and enjoys waterskiing, snow skiing, and other outdoor activities.
