BIOGRAPHY
Brian J. Warner is an insurance defense litigator. Mr. Warner joined the firm in June 2009 and is the Managing Member of the firm’s Morgantown office. Mr. Warner concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance defense, handling matters involving architect and engineer liability, E & O litigation, insurance coverage claims, insurance bad faith claims, automobile liability claims, premises liability claims, wrongful death claims, wrongful termination claims, toxic tort claims, workplace injury claims, construction defect claims, and professional negligence claims.
Mr. Warner frequently represents oil and gas operators, drillers, and vendors, as well as employers in many other fields, in matters in state and federal courts throughout West Virginia. He is experienced in all aspects of defense litigation from discovery through trial. He treats every matter as a unique opportunity to partner with his clients to achieve the resolution that best suits their strategic goals, whether that be early resolution, trial, or something in between.
Mr. Warner was recognized as a 2014 West Virginia Rising Star as featured in Super Lawyers Magazine and has also achieved an AV Preeminent® rating and client distinction award from Martindale Hubbell. Mr. Warner is actively involved with the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM), the largest professional association in the insurance industry. The CLM is a recognized leader in the claims resolution and litigation management industries. In 2017, Mr. Warner attended CLM’s Litigation Management Institute and has been awarded the designation of Certified Litigation Management Professional (CLMP). As of 2017, the CLMP designation is a distinction held by approximately 500 insurance defense attorneys nationwide.
