BIOGRAPHY
Caleb B. David is a member in the firm’s Charleston office. Mr. David maintains a diverse practice in high-stakes litigation in various industries, including medical malpractice, construction defect litigation, architect and engineering liability, state and municipal liability, civil rights litigation, and insurance coverage and bad faith. Mr. David has experience defending clients in class action claims in both state and federal courts and before the West Virginia Mass Litigation Panel. Mr. David has tried multiple cases to verdict and has represented clients in appellate matters. Additionally, Mr. David is a registered lobbyist and assists clients in achieving their policy goals.
Mr. David attended law school at Washington and Lee University. Mr. David participated in the John W. Davis Appellate Advocacy Competition and in the Client Counseling Competition, in which he mentored younger law students. Additionally, Mr. David was a member of the Black Lung Legal Clinic, a specialized clinic where he assisted West Virginia coal miners in their claims for federal black lung benefits.
Mr. David holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Washington & Jefferson College. While at Washington & Jefferson College, Mr. David graduated with summa cum laude honors and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He also was honored with the W. Edward Sell Distinguished Service Award for his dedication to the College’s Pre-Legal Society.
