BIOGRAPHY
Michael Dunham is a trial attorney and experienced litigator practicing in the firm’s Winchester, Virginia, office. He is admitted to practice law in Virginia and West Virginia.
Mr. Dunham maintains a diverse practice, handling cases involving civil rights violations, discrimination, harassment, state and municipal liability, construction defects, automobile liability, premises liability, wrongful death, wrongful termination, workplace injury, insurance coverage, insurance bad faith, errors and omissions, negligence, and professional negligence. Mr. Dunham has tried numerous cases to verdict and has represented clients in appellate matters.
Mr. Dunham has successfully defended state agencies, counties, cities, towns, and other local government entities and employees, including boards of education, principals, teachers, and other school personnel. He also has successfully defended personal injury defendants, employers, and insurance companies. He frequently provides counsel to insurers on evaluating and handling claims in all aspects of the claims handling process.
An Order of the Barristers graduate of the West Virginia College of Law, Mr. Dunham has a passion for appellate advocacy. He continues to represent clients at the appellate level. In law school, he was selected to the appellate advocacy Moot Court National team that competed at the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia. He was also a finalist in the Lugar Mock Trial Tournament.
A native of Hagerstown, Maryland, Mr. Dunham currently resides in Winchester, Virginia.
