Sixth-Generation Frederick County Native Joins Our Winchester, VA Office
WINCHESTER, VA – Shuman McCuskey Slicer PLLC is excited to announce that in mid-January, we welcomed Kathryn V. McCann-Slaughter to our firm’s Winchester, VA office. Kathryn is a sixth-generation native of Frederick County where she grew up on her family’s farm. She attended James Wood High School and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, where she double-majored in economics and foreign affairs. In May, Kathryn graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
As a law student, Kathryn served as an article editor on the ABA Real Property, Trust, and Estate Law Journal and was a law clerk at the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office. Kathryn is excited to return to her hometown and join Shuman McCuskey Slicer PLLC as an associate. Kathryn also serves as a board member for The Salvation Army of Winchester and is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Winchester.
