SMS Attorneys Obtain Dismissal of Wrongful Death Claim

SMS Member/Owner Natalie C. Schaefer and Member Caleb B. David obtained a dismissal in federal court of a case alleging the wrongful death of an inmate who passed away while incarcerated. After fully briefing the legal issues, the Court determined that our client was entitled to dismissal because the Complaint failed to state a claim upon which relief could be granted for multiple reasons. The case was dismissed and removed from the federal docket.
