Winchester attorney Kathryn V. McCann-Slaughter is now licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the State of West Virginia. Ms. McCann-Slaughter joined the firm in 2020 while our Winchester office was undergoing a pivotal growing point.
Ms. McCann-Slaughter graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2019, where she served as an Article Editor on the ABA Real Property, Trust, and Estate Law Journal and was a law clerk at the South Carolina Attorney General's Office. Since joining SMS, she has litigated in areas including Business Litigation, Construction Litigation, General Litigation, Government Relations & Lobbying, Long-Term Care & Nursing Home Litigation, Medical Malpractice, Professional Liability, and State, Municipal & Public Utility Litigation.
Ms. McCann-Slaughter is active in the Winchester community and serves as an advisory board member for The Salvation Army of Winchester, a member of the Kiwanis Club of Winchester, and a Citizen Member on the Frederick County Comprehensive Plans and Programs Committee.
